Where is darkmoon faire

Each of the mini-games require you to pay an entry fee of 1 Darkmoon Game Token. These can be bought from Zina Sharpworth right at the entrance , Sazz Coincatcher further down the right , and Trixi Sharpworth next to the Deathmatch Arena. The prices are the following:. These tokens can also be obtained by doing the profession skill-up quests though in very limited quantities.

In the ring, there are 9 barrels, out of which three types of creatures randomly appear. You must smack them with a hammer by pressing '1' before they disappear. You will be presented with 3 possible types of creatures, all of which are shown in the screenshot on the right:. If you cannot obtain them in the time alloted by the mini-game, you can simply play again.

Your points are carried over from one game to the other. The idea is to climb in a cannon that will fire you off the ground. Then, you initiate the fall by pressing '1'. The objective is to land in a circle off the Darkmoon Faire docks at the southern extremity of the island :. The daily quest requires you to obtain 5 points and you need a precise timing to make it inside the circle. Landing exactly in the middle of the circle is extremely difficult, so many players will require 3 or more attempts to complete the daily quest after an attempt, you can talk to Teleportologist Fozlebub next to the circle, to get back to the cannon.

This game is very sensitive to lag and players who have a varying latency will find it hard to initiate the fall at the right time. In the stand, there are 3 targets. Every few seconds, one gets marked with a green arrow and you need to make your character face it before pressing '1' to fire at it.

The daily quest requires you to hit 25 targets. When a target is marked with an arrow, you only have time to hit it twice before it gets unmarked you can also start casting before the arrow appears, but then you need to be really quickly to make your character face the right target when the arrow appears. Then, you need to wait a few seconds before another target is marked.

When no target is marked, you cannot hit anything. Taking all this into account, it is hard to finish the daily quest in only one try. The Tonk Challenge game is associated with the Tonk Commander daily quest. In the ring, there are targets that you need to hit by making your tank face them before pressing '1'. The objective of the daily quest is to hit 30 such targets and completing it will often require you to play the game several times although it is possible to finish it at the first try.

You need to be aware of the fact that there will be enemy tanks in the ring. You hit them in the same way that you hit the targets, by facing them and pressing '1'. When you are facing both an enemy tank and a target, you will random hit one of them, upon pressing '1'.

If the enemy tank is hit, it will most likely start attacking you, in which case you will have to destroy it before it destroys you. If your tank gets destroyed, you can simply start over; your kill count will not be reset. Note that when targeted by an enemy tank a green arrow will appear on top of your tank , you can hit '2' to use your second ability.

This will make your tank sprint for a few seconds, making the enemy tank lose sight of you. The Ring Toss game is associated with the Target: Turtle daily quest. The objective of the daily quest is to land 3 rings on the Darkmoon Turtle that walks inside the arena you need to remain in the stand to be able to toss the rings.

To toss a ring, press '1', target the turtle with the mouse and left-click. Even if you perfectly aimed at the turtle, there is no guarantee that the ring will actually land on the turtle, as the landing location of the rings is somewhat random. One way to complete the daily quest is to spam rings when the turtle stops moving, hoping to have 3 of them landing properly. The Firebird's Challenge is associated with the Firebird's Challenge daily quest.

Starting the game gives you the Wings of Flame buff, which allows you to fly for 10 seconds. If you manage to pass through a fiery ring before the 10 seconds are up, then the buff is refreshed for another 10 seconds. The objective of the daily quest is to simply pass through 15 fiery rings. If you do not reach the objective in a single game, this is not a problem, you can pay another Darkmoon Game Token to play again and keep going.

You can find the races on both sides of the pier at the faire: the Real Race on the right and the Real Big Race on the left. Both races require you to reach posts around the island in a given order before coming back to the pier.

Before starting a race, you need to select a mount. Currently, there are two mounts available, each with own abilities. Each circuit features power-ups that you can take to help you complete the race faster, banners that grant you a speed boost, trip wires that daze you, and MiniZeps that try to stun you.

Below, you will find screenshots for all of these features. Your time in the races is measured in tolls, which you can hear every 6 seconds approximately, while racing. There are 33 achievements related to your time in each race with each mount. In addition to the racing achievements, which we presented above, the other mini-games enable you to complete 9 achievements:.

The PvA Deathmatch is organised every 3 hours , , and so on at the Deathmatch Ring, the large building located in the south western part of the faire. The Deathmatch is a free for all event that lasts until someone manages to loot the chest in the middle of the ring. During the event, every other player is your enemy and can attack you, whether they are Alliance or Horde. Only players in your own party will show as friendly. The cast for opening the chest is quite long, 8 seconds, and anyone can easily interrupt you.

This makes it almost mandatory to go there with a group of friends so that they can protect you while you open the chest. To enter, simply click the gate of the Deathmatch Ring, right behind Korgol Crushskull at the entrance of the building.

Looting the chest rewards you with Pit Fighter , an item level 37 tanking trinket. This item starts the Pit Fighter quest. Turning it in gives you the Master Pit Fighter quest. To complete this second quest, you need to win the Deathmatch 12 times. After completing this assignment, you will be rewarded with Master Pit Fighter , an item level 37 tanking trinket.

Winning 12 times will reward you with the Darkmoon Dominator achievement. Darkmoon Daggermaws can be fished in the waters surrounding Darkmoon Island. You can turn them in to Galissa Sundew for rewards. Thanks to your Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide , you can loot artifacts that you would not normally see. There is a total of 9 artifacts. Each of them can only be collected while doing something specific running a dungeon or playing in a battleground.

Each artifact starts a quest that you can turn in at the Darkmoon Faire and that rewards 15 Darkmoon Prize Tickets as well as reputation with the Darkmoon Faire. The only constraint when turning in artifacts is that you can only turn them in once per Darkmoon Faire. This means that you can turn all 9 artifacts during a Darkmoon Faire, and then again at the next Darkmoon Faire, and so on.

Collecting all 5 dungeon artifacts will grant you the Darkmoon Dungeoneer achievement. Collecting all 3 battleground artifacts will grant you the Darkmoon Defender achievement. Collecting all the artifacts will grant you the Darkmoon Despoiler achievements.

The Darkmoon Decks are not an integral part of the event. These trinkets are obtained after a crafting Inscription only and trading process that can be long or costly, depending on whether you decide to gather the materials and craft the items yourself.

Decks from Mists of Pandaria, Cataclysm, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and before can still be obtained, but we will not detail them here, the process for obtaining them being almost exactly the same. These current cards are:. To obtain these cards, you first need to craft or buy cards until you have a complete set of 8 cards.

Once you have a complete set, simply right-click one of the cards to create a deck, which in turn can be right-clicked to create the trinket. There are 4 sets of cards Indomitable, Putrescence, Repose, and Voracity , each of them being made of 8 cards Ace to Eight. These cards are created by Darkmoon Card of Death. You can learn rank 1 at Scribe Au'tehshi in Oribos at Inscription skill Every time you use this ability, it creates a random card from a random set, so you only have 1 chance out of 32 to obtain a specific card.

Higher ranks reduce the cost of materials required to craft Darkmoon cards. Scribes in Shadowlands can also craft random crafts from specific sets. Once you have a complete set, you simply need to right-click one of the cards to create a deck, which can then be right-clicked to create the corresponding trinket.

Every month, you can gain 18, reputation with the Darkmoon Faire by doing the core activities. This means that you will need 3 Darkmoon Faires or 3 months to grind your way to exalted , from neutral possibly only 3, if you are a Human.

We consider the following to be the core activities:. Note that by doing the daily quests as soon as the Darkmoon Faire is up, and before the daily quest reset, you can do them 8 times per Darkmoon Faire instead of only 7 times. Finally, turning in decks of cards for obtaining Darkmoon Card trinkets will always reward reputation.

Keep in mind that grinding reputation this way will cost you quite a bit of gold. Mini-games and the profession skill-up quests continue awarding reputation all the way to exalted. Every hour, at the concert stage located next to the docks, on the western side of the faire, people will be able to witness a concert of the Level 90 Elite Tauren Chieftain band, the virtual alter ego of The Tauren Chieftains , a band formed by Blizzard employees, including Mike Morhaime CEO and Samwise Didier Art Director.

The band will play their usual Power of the Horde song. More information can be found on WoWWiki. The Fairegoer's Feast achievement requires you to taste all 10 types of food sold by Stamp Thunderhorn and all 8 types of drinks sold by Sylannia. I suspect it's because the Faire Quests give experience and since I can't get any more, they ignore me.

Even went in with all the outside goods in bags ready for action. Did not do any dailies beforehand either. Just sayin Good hunting. Comment by Here's a neat trick to get an extra "day" of dailies done. The next darkmoon faire starts on march 3rd am and runs to march 9th pm measured in server time. However the server doesn't begin the new day as far as dailies goes until either am or am depending on daylight saving or not, and you can take advantage of that.

If on march 2nd you stay up past midnight, the darkmoon faire will activate 1 minute past midnight on march 3rd am You go to darkmoon island and do the daily quests, then log of and go to bed. At 3 or 4 that night the server reset the daily counter and when you wake up in the morning of march 3rd you'll be able to do the daily quests again, earning an extra day of dailies. You can only get that extra day at the start of the event, by taking advantage of that hour difference between midnight and when the server resets the dailies.

Works like a charm on any wow event. Comment by dtylertx I am not sure if this is a bug related to 5. When I allowed her to port me, I found the entry portal and I am now riding the carousel and posting this. When will the fair despawn.. Comment by perculia Display issue: the calendar got shifted around a bit in 5. This will be reflected on our World Events pages shortly. Comment by neopatra Apparantly you can get to Darkmoon Island when it's completely empty of npc's, if you park your alt there and login to him at the day before it starts probably as long as the Darkmoon Carnies constuction team are there with the sign "darkmoon fairy - coming soon".

If you try and loging him at any other day in middle of the month, then you will find yourself outside the Island.

It's probably a bug. I've took some nice screenshots of the empty place with two of my alts, and snoofed around a bit. I could get free ride on the carrousel, but no experience buff.

I could enter play circles without being forced to teleport outside of it. Darkmoon Tide Crawlers and Darkmoon Wolves were there and could be killed and looted. Comment by GoRozZo The fastest way to open the chests on Darkmoon Arena is to click on gate seconds after announcement.

Comment by Ashirin Update: This port was made during Mists of Pandaria and it was for getting the Rep without doing any dailies on the island itself. The Warlords of Draenor and Legion trinkets should not reward any rep at all. The Mists of Pandaria trinkets give very good rep but now it might be hard to obtain the materials. You can still trade in Inks so that might help but you will probably not be able to sell any of the trinkets. For now I recommend doing as many dailies as you can when the faire is up using the carousel buff and maybe crafting the Mysterious Tarot because it uses only 3 cards for a deck.

Only do this if you can get the materials cheap on the auction house! It's very little rep but it still is some and with enough materials it is definitely worth it. If you set up your auction house addon for sniping old herbs you can craft other decks as well.

I didn't put them up all the time and they rarely sell but sometimes they do. But do not expect to make money from this.

This is MoP 5. The Rogues Deck only requires 3 Cards now and you cannot trade in inks like in Cata any more. I set up my gameplan here - I haven't done this yet So it's theory. This is about Card Decks and which will give you the most reputation.

As far as the Decks go: A lof of sites suggest handing in the Rogues Deck because it is "easy to farm". You can farm low level herbs to provide the Inks for those but remember that you will have a low chance on getting Verdant Pigment out of them and you will be left with a lot of Dusky Pigment.

I don't want any leftovers on this that I can't sell or that took valuable time and gave me nothing. I will mill them into Shadow Pigment and Misty Pigment. Remember that Fool's Cap have a higher chance to drop Misty Pigment so consider this when you plan to buy them on the AH or farm them.

I will probably go with Green Tea Leaf so I calculated for those. Remember that this will take you Scroll of Wisdom which have a daily cooldown.

I wondered what inks would provide me the most reputation gains for Quests. So I calculated for mills of Green Tea Leaf This is an insane number but I needed a high number to work with. You can always break it down. Create as many Darkmoon Card of Mists as you can. You could also create any of the other sets - but as I calculated you will get less experience since you need more ink per card and also more cards per set - and you will almost always require another ingredient which will come in pricy or which you will have to farm a lot.

You will get a small reputation bonus out of making Darkmoon Card but you will need 8 cards for the deck instead of three. This leaves you with more chances to create duplicate cards that you will not be able to use at all! The Mysterious Tarot requires 3 cards for each deck, gives very decent reputation compared to all other decks and will probably not leave you with as many duplicate cards that turn out useless.

Just to compare the reputation on the best two decks here: Reputation with 8 cards a deck only ink required Reputation with 3 cards a deck only ink required Reputation with 8 cards a deck but requiring Primal Life 3 each card which is probably not an option. Maybe with a transmute Alchi that can transmute primal earth into primal life Comment by wowpathos Silas meandered his newly acquired land, Hoover flags waving without a copper in hand.

Basking in a pear shaped shadow he said, "Burth old friend, seems business is dead. Stamp began cooking everyone seemed ambitious, Silas sent word to Blackrock for Sig Nicious. Tents, booths, and a stage were erected, a small rabbit even got steriods injected.

Jubjub will always come near for a beer, and they even got Hogger to appear. Silas felt good about his new island address, but still missing something to assure its success. Regretting the torture for his card accumulation, that forced the Insane to work hard for reputaion. With a here ye here ye and a let it be known, he shouted through paper rolled into a cone, "From here on out, let them fill up my bar, at least we're still here, unlike Shen'dralar.

The calendar continues with Aug through Feb Is it going away? Comment by Darkstar Can you do more than two Profession quests per week? I'm gonna be switching professions anyways so figured I'd ask before I farmed the mats for them all. Comment by Sarthorius Strange I've found a subterranean cave entrance at 74,29, 34,53 while I was fishing those boxes around.

It is similiar to LFR, in that it is gated and more will be available in the future. Most presumably every Darkmoon Faire. Currently the Racing Strider is active, and its associated achievements.

The above information about the gating was provided to me by a GM friend. Comment by albynoson There goes that daylight savings glitch again.

Darkmoon faire is supposed to end at Sunday A. Every March the Darkmoon Faire termination never happened because the calender completely misses 1 A. Sadly I haven't seen a single Darkmoon artifact! Which is very dissapointing. Comment by rjb Is this even worth participating in if you're not max level? I'm level 63 and I feel like a lot of this is pretty ahead of where I am Comment by Exephia Pre-patch Darkmoon Faire added in a new toy for tokens.
