These are heavy questions for a season only several weeks old! These definitions have absolutely nailed it. By these definitions a fan is someone that has an interest or admiration for a sport, art form or famous person — i.
Clearly a clever bloke the cfcuk Sheditor who also understands the English language very well indeed! Oh and lest we forget, the club have also re-appointed the best and our most successful and beloved manager of all time, mainly it has to be said at the behest of the supporters. In addition to this, we have started the new season well with 2 wins and a draw away at one of our main rivals for the title and have arguably outplayed the current European Champions in the Super Cup!
So as a supporter it must be pretty good at the moment and also a happy and easy occupation. He is loyal to his club. A fan is the other one who mainly just don't really follow the club as the supporter, i. He really doesn't know most of the aspects of his club, e.
You can support any club you wish to support, that makes you a supporter of the club at that moment but a Fan knows what he stands for He is an ardent follower of his own club and his not ready to switch allegiance to another club in whatever the circumstance might be. I haven't got the straight forward right answer but you guys can help me with some tremendous points. Well you have the concepts kind of right.
I thought a Fan was a little more radical than a supporter. A fan is a person who follows the every step of the club and knows more than just the basic as he follows news and stuff to be up to date with any new information about it. A fan goes to the stadium or at least watches every match until the very end. A Supporter can be simply someone who like a club but doesn't know much about its present or past and barely watches the games but at least claims to support the certain club over other similar area clubs.
The reason as to why one follows a specific team may not be as clear as to the reason why a fan becomes a fan. But I am more on the side of: a supporter should know more than just basic stuffs regarding the club, a fan can be of anything, style, temporal player, and of course supporting toward that club.
A supporter tends to remain more loyal. I'm a big, long life Manchester United supporter, was is and will always be, ofc Im one of the biggest fan of my club. I'm a fan of Barca's tiki taka, big fan of Messi.
Not of fan of Ronaldo but one of his big rational admirer. I'd say they were synonyms as both you you just changed the definition yet still had the same meaning.
To be a fan or fanatic means you follow a team almost religiously or obsessively. I would define a persone who likes a team, in example Tuan with Barca and Milan, as just a follower.
Theres no real particular attachment in the team. You just follow their results more than anything. I would say that a supporter does just that, they support their club, through thick and thin, no matter what happens. When they choose to pay attention, they are obsessively dedicated. Both sound completely different in my opinion. Supporting means caring about it, worrying about it. They can be seen wearing designer gowns and funny outfits bearing their team colors. They may also carry bibles and sing obscene songs.
They are both vulgar and funny, but with a very short temper that can be unleashed onto other supporters, the players, the coach or even the referee. Some call them hooligans. In short, fans are crazy, aggressive and unreasonable. But there are those who are very reasonable, humble and graceful. These are the supporters. It is evident that there are two distinct categories of soccer lovers, the fans and the supporters.
They are different in the way they carry themselves, their mentality and their behavior at the soccer pitch. But they are both similar in that they are united in their passion, love and support for the team. However, there is also a huge difference between the two. In contrast, the supporter is always there, whether the club is winning or losing. The supporter always takes time to acquaint themselves with the club.
They belong to the club and they have a history with the club. The recreational opportunities described above fall into two broad categories: active recreation and passive recreation. Taking part in recreational activities, especially outdoors, can greatly improve physical health. People who take part in park activities such as walking, hiking, or skiing, schedule fewer office visits, maintain lower body fat percentages, and have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
